Love her :)

Lots of posts today!!! Here was a little note that Olivia wrote me :).

Potty chair

So every morning Charlie enjoys a book on the potty chair. He actually goes to the bathroom but will not let me take his diaper and pants off!!! Baby steps, right????

Mystery Letter

This week has been great!! It really makes me want summer here fast :)

It is our last day of Spring Break and we decided to write a mystery letter to someone. Olivia loves to write and send letters at the post office. I also feel that it is good to teach the kids how to write letters and use the post office since everything is electronic now.

So we sat down today and Olivia wrote her letter to some people she misses very much and hasn't seen in a very long time. Charlie also colored a picture for those same lucky people.

So if you are the lucky recipients, you should be receiving your letter in just a few short days :)

The Zoo!!

Since this week is our Spring Break, we decided to take a road trip down to Grandma Jo's and visit the zoo. We had so much fun!! The weather was great (except for the wind). Charlie really liked the little animals, but all of the big animals he kept saying "I don't like them mommy!!" Our friend Georgia has been staying with us for a few days, so she came along too! Olivia had fun hanging out with her.

Lunch Before the Zoo...

So Much Fun!! I remember my Grandma taking me to the zoo when I was little, and I love that now I get to take her every year :)

Our Little Talker!!

In the last several weeks Charlie has expanded his vocabulary by a TON!! I love it! It is amazing to me how such little beings can learn so much in such a short amount of time.

The other day I put the kids to bed and about 15 minutes after Charlie fell asleep, it started storming. Olivia slept right through it, but not him. He wanted to see what in the world all of the flashing and rain was all about. After the storm blew past, I told him that it was time to go back to bed and his response was "No...I want to cuddle you mommy" and I said "Why" he looks at me with his big blue eyes and just says "Cause."

Yesterday at daycare he told Karla to "Come Here" and when she got there
he just said "Never mind."

On Sunday we went shopping with Grandma Ruth and she was pushing him around the stroller. He took his shoes and socks off, so I put them in my purse because I didn't want to deal with him being crabby in the store because they were on. Ruth and I went our separate ways for a bit and when we met back up Ruth was laughing. Apparently Charlie kept saying "Ishy" really loud as he was digging the lint out of his toes :) Gotta Love kids for being honest!!!

He definitely is learning a lot from his big sister ;)
I think he is talking even more than she did at this age. Some of what he says isn't quite a crisp and clear as she was, but still understandable.

Here are a couple of videos of Charlie saying some cute things...

Get Lucky 7K

This weekend I ran my first 7k race with some friends of mine from high school. We had a lot of fun and it was the perfect day for a race. I ran all 4.3 miles without stopping. I will say those extra two kilometers were not easy!!!

Grandma's House!!

After school today we went to my mom's house to let jack play. The kids hung out on the swings almost the entire time :). Olivia was being a "goof" and went in the infant swing. Charlie was very concerned that jack was running around without a leash. He would start yelling for for him if he went too far.

Love :)

Can you tell jack loves her?

Round 2

This morning Charlie had another tube put into his right ear. It fell out a few weeks ago and he immediately had another ear infection and lots of fluid :( Poor Kid. We are really hoping the left one won't fall out anytime soon. They only did the one ear because the left tube is still in place.

We had to be in St. Cloud by 6 am this morning for his surgery, so thankfully Grandma Ruth and Grandpa John took Olivia for the night. Olivia was very excited that Grandpa was going to be taking her to school this morning.

Last night was very rough for our little man. He really likes to have his water cup at night and of course he couldn't have any fluids or solid food after midnight last night. About 1:00 this morning I heard him saying "water please mommy" over and over again. I felt so bad for him. Finally after about 1/2 hour, he came into our room and watched cartoons for quite some time. He wouldn't give it up and got madder and madder. He was up until about 4 am and of course our alarm went off at 4:40.

Anyways...the surgery went well this morning. It is very hard being in the O.R. room while they put him under, but thankfully it only takes about 20 seconds. After about 10 minutes, the surgery was complete and he was in the recovery room. He didn't even cry this time, which made me so happy. He was just relieved to get some juice from the nurse. Here are a few pictures :)

So Fun!!

I love my job =)
I can honestly say that I don't feel like it is a job because I love what I do and I wouldn't change it for anything. Of course there are days that are not so easy, but we always make the best of it.

Here are some of my great coworkers and I on Wacky Wednesday for Dr. Seuss week.

Update on the Home Depot Model

Once again...not the best picture, but this shows some more detail to Jesse's Home Depot model. He added a park lot, trees, curbing. The model is now at the shop and it has become a pretty big deal :)

Green Eggs and Ham

Today we enjoyed a feast of green eggs and ham at school. I popped over to Olivia's class's table quick to check it out. So proud of my girl...the only completely empty plate on her table. And of course she was begging for more. Sometimes I wonder how this girl stays so skinny. Here we are...another teacher took the picture and told us to have a goofy face, Olivia forgot to be goofy :)

My Talented Husband!!

Today Jesse came home from work all excited because he had to build a model of Home Depot for work. If you know Jesse, you know that he doesn't take a task like this lightly. He is a very hard working talented guy. He built an amazing model. I will try to get more pictures once it is complete. There are parts like the parking lot that he cannot complete until he gets to work but here is what he did today. This model will be displayed at the shop where he works. Apparently it will be used for training purposes.

Dr. Seuss Week

This is one of my favorite weeks of teaching and so excited Olivia gets to be a part of it this year. We have dress up days all week. Tomorrow is pajama day, Tuesday is silly sock day, Wacky Wednesday (my favorite), Thursday is red day and Friday is green day!!! On Friday we get to make green eggs and ham!!! I still remember very well having green eggs and ham when I was in kindergarten.

Tonight we sat down to read Green Eggs and Ham and this time Olivia read it all by herself!!! We are so proud of her!
