Weekend Getaway!!

This past weekend Jesse had a job to do up north at a friend's house. It just happened to be just a couple of miles from his Aunt and Uncle's place. It was perfect. The kids and I stayed with them most of the time while Jesse was working. Unfortunately I wasn't the best at having my camera with (and when I did the battery died...grrr), but I did get a few pictures. Charlie had his first experience at a beach and on a boat and Olivia picked tons of shells out of the sand and water. We had a great time at night by the fire and ended the weekend with a great dinner with Jesse's Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles, and cousin.

Como Zoo with Grandma Jo

Today I took the kids to Como Zoo and along the way we picked up Grandma Jo. It was a perfect day and so much fun. Charlie and Olivia loved seeing the animals. We really enjoyed the Grizzly Bear that was visiting from the Minot, ND zoo. He just kept swimming and swimming. It was really cool!!




















And at the very end of our trip, Grandma Jo took us for some ice cream at Cold Stone...yummy!!

Olivia's Snowmobile!!

Jesse must be getting excited for winter :)
He had Olivia on her snowmobile yesterday. She was having fun and I cannot believe how much better she is at driving it.



Last weekend they went to a Snowmobile Show and they brought her sled. She was pretty happy when she got home. She won a trophy and the best part was, it was bigger than Jesse's trophy for his sled. She has a lot of fun showing her sled and of course Jesse is so proud of her and loves that she also enjoys it.

Hanging Out with Grandma Shirley!!

On Monday night, Jesse's Grandma called him and asked if she could hang out for a bit while the guys went and visited a cousin. It was so nice having her and the kids loved spending time with her. Olivia and Grandma Shirley had so much fun together. They dressed Olivia's doll Ruthie, shared many stories, Shirley showed her pictures on her iPad (which I must say...I love how much she loves the iPad...she even showed me some free apps that I had to download), and she even played baseball with the kids.

We tried really hard to get Charlie to sit still for a minute, didn't work out the best but at least we got a picture and by the way...it is Olivia who thinks his hat has to be backwards.
