Turkeys!!

Today was spent getting ready for Thanksgiving!! My friend Megan gave me the idea to make these fun turkey treats for the kids. Olivia loved making them and even Grandma Ruth came to help =)

Charlie liked to just watch and enjoy the sweets. You can tell he likes Oreos. He ate all the frosting and left the cookie for last...just like his mom!!

SNOW!!

Today was the first snowfall of the season =)

Olivia played outside for nearly an hour; Charlie only lasted a few minutes.

I would love to say that I love the snow, but I really don't (I would much rather have it be 90 degrees with lots of sun)!! Of course Jesse had to work and missed out watching the kids play. Hopefully it will at least stay around until tomorrow so maybe Olivia can ride her snowmobile around the yard. It is supposed to warm up again before Thanksgiving!

I know that I have done my fair share of complaining about Jack, but one thing I do know is that he loves our kids. We couldn't ask for a better dog for Olivia and Charlie. He always has to know what the kids are doing. When Olivia gets the mail or the paper, he is pacing back and forth in front of the window and waiting at the gate when she gets back in the house. When Charlie or Olivia sit down to read a book, he has to be right there on their lap.

I am sure there are not too many dogs that would do this :)


He let Olivia do the same thing when she was little! Pretty sure Reed thought it was funny to put the head piece on him.

Genesis 1:1

The bible verse that we discussed tonight before Sparks, was Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."

Her assignment was to draw a picture of her favorite thing that God Created. She all on her own decided to draw a picture of her brother Charlie...we were so proud of her =)

Shopping!!

Jesse has been out of town for a couple of days (he comes home tonight!!), so we decided to take a little trip to the Mall of America with Grandma Ruth! The kids had lots of fun. Before we left Olivia got herself and Ruthie ready for a fun day at the American Girl Store. Of course they had to wear their matching outfits.





She was so excited when we got there. She had received a gift card from "Uncle" Troy, so she got to pick out some fun things. She decided to pick out a Hawaiian outfit and some garden boots.

After the American Girl store we had lunch at the Rainforest Cafe. Charlie really enjoyed coloring!



Then we made our way to Sea Life Aquarium. It is so nice being a teacher sometimes. Teachers get a free lifetime membership and everyone I bring is 1/2 off and being that Charlie is under the age of 2, he was free!!





After all of that, we visited my cousin Kelly at her work, where Olivia got a little makeover. She loves being able to have make-up on!



Thank you Grandma Ruth for spending the day with us and to Kelly for making a 5 year old feel really special!!

Here are some pictures of the kids on Halloween =)

Olivia was a Monkey, Charlie was a Zoo Keeper and Jack was a Moose Mount. Olivia had to wear something that would go with Charlie's costume. We of course have TONS of candy now that I would prefer to not have in the house, but the kids had tons of fun and Charlie even got to have his first taste of candy and of course that is all he wants now.
