Hahaha!!

On Sunday, Olivia went over to Grandma Ruth's house to help her cleaning her shed. The next day her class had to write a letter to someone.  She chose to write a letter to Grandma Ruth thanking her for the few things Grandma gave her while they were cleaning as well as thank her for the peanuts they had for snack.  So here is her thank you letter...

HAHAHA!!  This one is definitely going to be put out at her graduation party :)
The other 2 words are necklace and wagon.

Fun Saturday!!

This morning we went with Grandma Barb to pick out pumpkins and do some fun fall activities!! We had a great time!! The kids were crazy hyper today ;)

Caillme

So all of a sudden Charlie is really into Caillou (pronounced Kai-you). Which is funny because he has never shown an interest in TV and there have been moments where I wish he would sit and just watch a movie so I could get something done. Finally I found something he will watch.

Now to the story...the other day he was sitting in bed and he kept saying "kaiMe" and I couldn't figure it out. I thought he wanted me to cuddle him but he usually can say cuddle me with no problem. He kept saying this until Olivia walked in the room and said he wants to watch Caillou. Finally figured it out. Everyone says Caillou to him so he thinks it is CaillMe. We have tried to correct him so many times but he won't budge. At least I know he is up with his grammar ;)

Homework!!

We have entered the world of homework!! Olivia had her reading last year but besides that there wasn't a whole lot of required work outside of school. This year we have added math on top of 20 minutes of reading a day. We are busy but she loves homework and first grade. Last year she never really complained about school but this year she loves her class and comes to my room SUPER happy at the end of the day.  She really likes Mrs. Croal (and misses Mrs. Wiechmann from Kindergarten) She is in a really good class, with lots of great kids.  She also feels pretty cool if she gets to stay up a few minutes later than her brother to do her homework.  Hmmm...I wonder how long this will last :)

He Cracks Me Up!!

Charlie and I were going over animal sounds. He knows them all but when I asked him what a pig says and he looked at me, chuckled, and said "excuse me"...haha.
