Cousins!!

This past fourth of July, we spent the day at Ruth and John's as usual. We tried really hard to get a picture of all 6 of the cousins...here is the best we could get.

Minnesota Zoo!!

Today we had the chance to tag along with my friend Steph and her daughter Brynn and daycare kid Eli to the Minnesota Zoo. We had so much fun and thanks to Steph
and her zoo membership, it was a very inexpensive day.

It was such a fun day.
Our goal this summer is to visit a fun place once a week,
while staying on a budget. Any ideas are appreciated!!

So far we have had a picnic in the park with my niece and nephew,
Splash Pad, and now the zoo.
Next week we are hoping for the beach =)
That is if the weather will cooperate!!

Friday we finally had a nice day. I was so glad to get the kids out of the house. We headed to the splash pad. Olivia had more fun on the playground equipment, where Charlie spent all of his time in the water. He is such a water boy.

Saturday was our town's summer celebration!! The kids had lots of fun at the parade =)

Jesse ran the 5k race and Olivia ran the 1K race.
They both did awesome. Jesse ran the 5k in 20' 04". He was pretty happy with his time considering he hasn't ran a race in 12 years. He took 9th overall and 2nd in his age group. Olivia also did great. The kids do not place in their race, but they did all get a medal.

Just Me and Olivia at the Twins Game!!

Last Sunday Olivia and I were able to go to the Twins game just the two of us. It was awesome. We had the best time. There were giving away Danny Valencia jerseys to the first 5,000 kids, so Olivia proudly put hers on that day. Danny Valencia is her favorite player. The Twins played great, Liriano was pitching a no hitter into the 8th inning, and Cuddy hit a home run. It was a perfect day!!

Troy, Pam and the girls also had tickets so we met up with them for a little while :)

After the game, Olivia and I went down to the field. On Sundays, kids get to run the bases!! This was her second time running them. Such a fun opportunity for the kids!!

Charlie's Walking!!

Charlie is on the move. He has been taking steps for awhile now, but now he is walking more than crawling. He thinks he is pretty cool. Gotta love the tongue sticking out =)

On Friday, Charlie celebrated his birthday at Karla's (daycare).
