Such A Story Teller

Tonight I was talking to Charlie and he is the funniest kid to talk to.  We were naming people off and asking him if they were boys or girls.  We went through a long list of people and when we got to Grandma Ruth and Grandpa John, out of no where Charlie said "Grandma fell down on the road" and I said "really" and asked him how it happened.  He said "Grandpa is really really bad" and he said "he bite her."  Obviously we know this didn't happen, but he continued to tell us that Grandpa had a time out on the counter and Grandma spanked him :D

We definitely have our hands full!!

Fun Day!!

We had so much fun on Tuesday at the Mall of America.  As soon as we got there we sat down to eat at the American Girl Doll store.  It was so cute.  Ruthie got her own chair next to Olivia along with her own plate and cup.  They also gave Charlie a doll to sit with during the meal so he wouldn't feel left out.  He looked at the doll and said "that is not my doll."  He really didn't care for it, but like the chicken and strawberries that he ate along with the ice cream :)  I was very impressed with the food and to make it even better, Tuesdays are Buy 1 adult meal get a kids meal free!!  Added bonus for me :)

When we were sitting down we got an extra surprise.  My sister-in-law and niece happen to be eating there at the same time with their friends.  Just a couple of tables away!!

After lunch, Ruthie got her ears pierced and Olivia picked out a few things from the store.  Then on to the rides!

Charlie and Olivia loved  the rides.  I think Charlie is really enjoying getting bigger and being able to start doing "big kid" stuff!!

On top of the Ferris Wheel...the girls had a blast!!

Charlie wanted to jump right out of the ferris wheel.  I was sweating by the time we got off the ride, I had to hold on to him tight!!

The three of them on the Carousel

I am pretty sure Olivia had fun...she was out on the way home!!

A Big Thanks to Grandma Ruth for going with us.  It is always nice having an extra hand :)

Happy Birthday Olivia!!

6 years ago, almost to the minute my water broke and we were getting ready to welcome our first baby into the world :)  After several hours of labor, Miss Olivia Grace was born at 6:55 am on July 10th weighing in at 8 lbs. 13 oz. and 21 3/4 inches long (she was a BIG little girl).  She is such an amazing little girl and we are so proud of who she has become.  Tomorrow we will spend the day at the Mall of America.  It has been 1 year since Olivia got Ruthie, her American Girl Doll, and tomorrow she is going to get Ruthie's ears pierced.  She is very excited!!  She claims it is Ruthie's birthday too since she got her on her birthday!!

Happy Birthday Olivia...we love you SO much!!

Here are some of my favorite pics of Olivia!!

Official First Grader!!

Olivia is now officially a first grader!! She had a fantastic year and we are so proud of how well she has done. A big shout out to her teacher for a wonderful year!! She is excited for summer vacation and so am I. I love my job...I get the three of the best months of the year to spend with the loves of my life!!! To end her first year of school, Monday she had her kindergarten field trip to the zoo and grandma Ruth got to come along :)

Here is Grandma Ruth and Olivia giggling on the bus with their matching shirts!!
All of the kindergartners had tie-dye shirts.

Miss Olivia waiting to get into the zoo!!

I also spent a little time with them as I was walking around meeting up with my students!!
Olivia was anxious for me to get on my way because Grandma promised her something special when she was done eating.  She scarfed her food down as soon as possible and didn't want me around because I told her she couldn't ask Grandma for anything...little turkey

Going, going, gone!!!

Wednesday night Olivia's tooth was a little loose and by bedtime it was really loose (i kid you not she sat in front if the bathroom mirror for over an hour making it looser) Finally on Thursday at school she ate a carrot at lunch and it popped out. I love my job because I didn't have to miss out. She came to me right away to show me :).

She was one excited girl when the tooth fairy visited on Thursday night.  She woke up at 5:00 in the morning to check under her pillow :)
